About
Megan is an artist in residence at English Bridge Studios, Shrewsbury, known for her dynamic oil paintings on board and canvas. Her work combines bold background colours with soft realism shaped by the presence and movement of light.
An early highlight of her career came during college, when she was selected to exhibit at The Mall Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London. A member of the Shropshire Art Society, she has since shown her work in numerous local exhibitions. After leaving a career in finance, she now devotes herself fully to her art.
Her first solo exhibition in September 2025, This House is Hers at Swan Hill Studios, featured oil paintings of flowers, food, landscapes, and portraits that captured the atmosphere of home. Curated by Sam Pooley Stride, the exhibition reflected a growing artistic voice and a deeply personal engagement with domestic space.
Alongside her practice, Megan recently completed her course in Mental Health in Children and Young People and is now undertaking Level 3 Teaching. Her studies explore the relationship between creativity and well-being. She is currently developing a new series of paintings investigating how light, through shifts in tone, intensity, and direction, can influence emotion and evoke calm, clarity, and resonance.
She has recently completed a successful Bath Arts Fair in February 2026 and is now also venturing into tutoring, offering beginners oil painting lessons to support emerging artists in developing confidence with the medium.
